Thanks for writing this. Your piece stimulated me to figure out how to credit the photos I’ve used. Because I modify the photos (from Unsplash), I was reluctant to attribute them to the photographer, who (I thought) might well not want to have designated as responsible for the modified photo.

I now realize I can write a credit that identifies the photographer and also notes that I have modified the original photo: “Photo by John Doe on Unsplash, modified by author.” Would you consider that sort of credit line acceptable?
