I assume you have never been attacked by a mob of Twitter trolls, who dox you, threaten you and your family, make false reports about you, and so on. I've noticed that many free-speech absolutists quickly make an exception when they themselves are the target. Elon Musk, for example, proclaimed himself a free-speech absolutist, but immediately banned from Twitter anyone who made fun of him and fired from Twitter any employee who disagreed with him.
